If you currently have an employer-sponsored plan of any type, that plan is now subject to much more stringent Fiduciary rules that leave you as the employer, significantly more vulnerable to civil suits. It’s extremely important that you review your current plan to determine how effectively it is being used by employees, whether it is being fairly offered to everyone who is eligible, if employees have adequate education from your plan advisor, whether the plan’s available investment options are suitable to all ranges of employee needs, and whether the plan’s fees and expenses are being managed (and reduced) wherever possible.

Do not take the Fiduciary Rule lightly. A lot of companies are already experiencing class action lawsuits because of expensive, poorly-designed or poorly-executed employer plans.
